I have loved art and craft since my first watercolor painting as a toddler (it was a yellow bird, my parents still have it!). I was lucky enough to study art history and studio art in college, and teach art in an elementary school for 2 years. Now, as a wife and new mother, I seek to use art and craft to create a rich and joyful home, full of appreciating the quieter activities of life: sewing, painting, knitting, cooking, and gardening. Some of these skills I am refining, and some I am still acquiring (like gardening!).
My blog title and nickname "Bibliosophy" is a word I made up, which loosely translated from its Greek roots means "the study of books," and is descriptive of my continued love for the written word. My own art has led me to bookbinding, and I have a small business called Bibliosophy Books, where I sell my handmade books.
