Phew! All our Christmas traveling is over, we had such fun visiting family, but are glad to be home in our normal routine. Which for me and the little guy includes a lot of crawling, playing, singing, pulling things out of drawers, and bits of knitting and sewing in between. 2009 brought the greatest blessings: our child, becoming parents, and learning so much, about our baby, ourselves, and each other. 2010 promises much of the same, and I'll take it! We're getting ready for a 1st birthday around here, and making preparations for our new arrival.
This little hat and vest set were made pre-Christmas in some quiet moments, with the lovliest ice blue baby alpaca (and no, the blue isn't a hint; we're going to be surprised again:). I think woolen vests are the most perfect garments for babies, and this one will keep our littlest warm as we welcome spring in Ohio. The pattern is one of my own devising (coming soon!), and buttons up each side, as well as across the front, for ease of dressing the tiniest of babies.
Welcome 2010, and best wishes to you and yours in this new year!

What a sweet outfit. Great job.

What a great design! You're right, it will make it much easier to dress the new baby. I wish you all the best for 2010 and I'm sure it will be as wonderful as 2009. Carol

Thanks Kristen! Same to you! I loved seeing the collage of your FO from 2009 on your blog; they are beautiful.
