It is here! My first published pattern, available for purchase now through Ravelry, or my Etsy shop. I'm very pleased with how it turned out, and my little model was extremely cooperative. She can work it:)
The Aubrey baby vest features a simple lace feather and fan pattern over the body of the vest, with the bodice worked in stockinette. It is knit in two pieces, front and back, from the bottom up and seamed at the shoulders and sides. Minimal finishing is involved, with stitches picked up around the neck. There is one button and buttonhole at the back neck for closure. The fingering weight yarn used makes it perfect for spring or fall, or an extra layer of warmth in winter.
I am currently working on a toddler/child version of this in worsted weight yarn, and am excited to see those results. If you decide to give this one a go, I'd love any feedback.
Happy Knitting!
What a lovely design - now I just need to find someone little to knit for! :D
