Sewing Bee -- a skirt

040    I had some more fun with cotton voile this week, and made this skirt.  To my delight, it even fits around my 25 week pregnant body.  Depending on how far it stretches, this may be my Easter outfit. 
072The little pink dots in the skirt print and the lining perfectly match this sweater that was redesigned last year.  I love serendipitous wardrobe moments!  The skirt came together so quickly and easily, and ordering the kit was really the way to go for me; plus, who can resist a bubblegum pink skirt lining?

The best part is, I can wear it this spring, and this summer, sans baby belly!

Dyeing Playsilks This was really fun. I've been looking at playsilks for the kids for a while now, but at $16.00 a pop for 100% silk ones, they may only ever have had one to play with!
